Learn the basic principles of natural medicine and discover how you can begin making your own remedies at home.

Long before modern medicine, people relied on their knowledge of plants, natural ingredients and traditional remedies to care for themselves and their families. Much of that knowledge was passed down through generations, and there's tremendous value in understanding these practices today.

Join us at Red Maple Farm School / Small Scale Farms for an introduction to natural medicine. We'll explore some of the foundational principles behind natural remedies, the importance of understanding what we're putting into our bodies, and how everyday plants and ingredients have traditionally been used to support health and well-being.

We'll also discuss different ways natural remedies can be prepared, including tinctures, teas and other simple preparations, and how to approach making them safely and responsibly.

This is a hands-on workshop! Every participant will have the opportunity to make their own herbal tincture and take it home with them.

Whether you're completely new to natural medicine or simply interested in becoming more knowledgeable and self-reliant when it comes to your health, this workshop is a great place to start.

All materials are included. No previous experience is necessary.
