Asparagus is always one of the first real signs that the season is turning—and every year, that first crop comes in tight and expensive. Prices are already pushing $8/lb in some places, but we were able to secure a small amount at $6.
This is local, early-season asparagus. The first of it.
We don’t have a lot—especially with these colder temperatures bringing frost, which slows and can set back the growth. We’ve got a small order arriving tomorrow morning for those of you who like to shop in person, but between the limited supply and the excitement around it, it likely won’t last long.
